Pay Your Bill

The District offers several payment options: cash, check, money orders, and online payments. Credit cards (MasterCard, Visit, Discover) are accepted both in the office and online. Pay by Phone 1-855-939-2113.   A $40.00 fee will be assessed for all non-sufficient fund payments.

Please print a receipt when you are finished, we will need the Receipt Identification Number.

There is an administration fee that will be assessed at the time of your payment, which is not paid to North Washington Street Water and Sanitation District. You will be advised of the administrative charge in advance and have a chance to cancel your transaction before authorizing the final payment. There is a surcharge for paying your bill with a credit card.  There is no charge if you pay your bill with a check in the District Office.

If your water service is subject to disconnection because of a past due status, make sure you contact our office on the morning of the scheduled shut off, after you have made your payment. If it’s after normal business hours and your service was disconnected, just show your receipt to our staff member and service will be restored before 7:00 p.m. We have changed our office hours and are now open at 7:30 a.m. and will close at 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you have any questions, call us and we will be happy to help you.

What Is The Deadline For Paying My Bill?

9:00 a.m. is the important time to remember, whether it is for a delinquent account, a returned check. Exceptions will not be made.

Please keep in mind that holidays and weekends may interfere with the timeliness of any mail delivery method of payment. Therefore, if you are unsure whether your payment will make it to our office in time, we suggest that you pay your bill online or personally bring your payment into our office. This is especially important when holidays fall close to a shut-off date, because 'no mail delivery' days will prevent your payment from making it to our office in time.

Beware:  Many of our customers pay their bills through their own bank which depends on their bank to mail a payment to our office. Please be advised that automatic payments through your bank may not process instantly and could result in a late payment to your account.

If your account is delinquent and close to a shut-off status, the payment delay will make the situation worse.  If this is your situation, we strongly suggest that you drop your payment off in person, put the payment in the night drop box or pay your bill online.
